If you are in need of a loving forever home for your pet cocktiel, please check us out. We have 20 years of experience with cockatiels and can provide them with a loving, stable home where they will receive the best in care.
Cockatiels with behavioral issues, medical issues or that are older are gladly accepted into our home aviary. We also have experience with hand rearing clutches that have been abandoned and we do have proper incubators set up for these types of cases.
We do NOT breed your beloved pet, sell them or collect birds. We do offer them to loving homes (for a very tiny re-homing fee $15.00) that have been checked thoroughly for stability, financial stability and ability to care for them properly. We will never give someone a pet cockatiel if we suspect that they will breed the bird, use it for experimentation or as bait/food for another animal.
Our cockatiels are provided with the largest cages that can be provided and is safe for their well-being. Each bird is switched over to a diet of human food, pellets and fresh vegetables with cuttle bones, mineral blocks, and plenty of toys.
Each bird will be put in quarantine for 24 days and examined by an avian vet before being allowed to come in contact with other birds in our aviary. We do have references and have plenty of experience in the rescue business to understnad how hard it is to give up your beloved friend/family member. Each bird is given attention and made sure that they are tamed and if they have behavior issues, they are trained out of them as gently as a child is trained in the proper ways of the world. We do not re-home any birds that are untrainable, older than 10 years, or are handicapped unless we can guarantee that the family is well suited and experienced in this type of behavioral issue.
We can pick up your pet from your home (ANY distance up to 300 miles) for no charge (although a donation to help with gas would be so kind of you but is not required). If you are out of our range we ask that you deliver the bird to us or meet us part way.
We do ask that each bird comes with their own cage, toys and food for the security of the bird. It helps them to adjust slightly better than if we have to put them in an unfamiliar cage and start them on food that they are not used to.
Each bird that is relinquished will be asked to fill out a medical history, behavior sheet and a miscellaneous information sheet as well as a relinquishment form. These must be filled out completely before we can accept any bird into our care. We also ask for vet records if you can obtain them or if your prefer we will have you sign a release and we will obtain the necessary vet records for your birds.
